On April 3–4, 2025, a study visit to the Michałowo Biogas Plant took place, organized as part of the BALTICBEAT project – Building Commitment to Accelerate Clean Energy Transitions in the South Baltic.

The visit was organized in response to the growing interest of local governments in creating energy communities based on biogas as a stable and renewable energy source. Michałowo – recommended by the National Support Centre for Agriculture as one of the most experienced and reference installations of this type in the country – turned out to be an ideal place to get acquainted with the subject in practice.Brak alternatywnego opisu tekstowego dla tego zdjęcia

The participants – representatives of local administration, experts and members of the project team – had the opportunity to learn about the technological, economic and organizational aspects of the operation of an agricultural biogas plant. The visit included a tour of the facility led by President Lech Gryko, as well as workshops during which key issues related to the planning and running of similar projects were discussed.

We would like to thank all participants for their active participation and exchange of experiences. The meeting confirmed the importance of practical knowledge and cooperation in the process of energy transformation at the local level.
